Three people got stuck on Conister Rock in Douglas bay last night.

They'd walked out to the Tower of Refuge but got caught out by the tide.

Douglas Coastguard officers were close by.

A spokesman said: 'We were able to be on scene quickly and oversee their safe return to the beach.

'Douglas Coastguards advise that if you must decide to walk out to the Tower of Refuge that you check the tide times before you set off or better still wait until the organised walk which takes place this year on Friday,, September 1.'
