The tip and recycling centre in Douglas has been closed because it’s full.

The town’s council blames waste skips at the Eastern Civic Amenity Site are completely full due to the ’high volume of material that has been deposited’.

These skips should be emptied and made available tomorrow, and bosses hope that the site will open again tomorrow (Wednesday) from 10am.
