Isle of Man Newspapers’ occasional tipster Kelly flagged up the winner of the Epsom Derby, 40-to-one outsider Wings of Eagles.
Kelly also predicted Cliffs of Moher and Cracksman would finish well - and they ended up second and third in the world-famous flat race.
On iomtoday.co.im yesterday (Saturday) Kelly put forward his four selections in the 18-runner race.
He also selected Capri which eventually finished sixth.
Wings of Eagles was the biggest priced winner of the Derby for many years.
He was one of five horses in the race trained by Aidan O’Brien.
Wings of Eagles swooped late to cross the line with relatively little-known jockey Padraig Beggy on board.
Leading jockey Ryan Moore was on board second-placed O’Brien horse Cliffs of Moher while Frankie Dettori was steering third-placed Cracksman, trained by John Gosden.
