Tribute has been paid to an 18-year-old from the island who died suddenly while on holiday.
Joe Greene was a member of Corinthians football club.
A spokesman for Corinthians said: ’We are very saddened to hear of the sudden passing of the much loved 18-year-old Joe Greene.
’Joe was a hard worker, team player and a big character in his peer group. Our thoughts go out to his family and friends and we want to let you know we are here for you.
’You will be missed massively but never forgotten.’The teenager, who played last year for the Corinthians under-18 team and worked in Onchan Shoprite, is thought to have gone on holiday to Magaluf with friends after completing A-levels. He died on Monday after collapsing at the weekend.Corinthians secretary Ste Corran said: 'He really did just brighten up a room. He had a big smile and was just a happy guy: a young lad with that sort of big personality.'
