Travel agency staff have joined Beach Buddies to remove rubbish from Niarbyl beach.

Visit IoM will now be participating frequently with the charity in the future to help keep the island’s beaches clean.

The founder of the Beach Buddies charity, Bill Dale, organises beach cleans throughout the year, removing litter and debris from around the island’s coastline.

He said: ’Our motto is "It’s not enough to just stand and stare". Thanks to volunteers like Visit IOM we can help maintain the beauty of our beaches.’

Visit IoM’s business development manager, Darrel Tinnion, added: ’It is surprising how much litter and debris is washed up on the shores.

If we all do our little bit to clean up each week, then collectively we can make a difference in conserving our beaches.’
