Ian Rodney Pressley, aged 50, of Snugborough Avenue, Union Mills, has had his trial date moved.
He has previously denied common assault, alleged to have been committed on March 4.
He was due to face a trial in summary court on August 15, however his advocate David Clegg said that a witness statement was awaited.
A pre-trial review will now be held on August 24.
Mr Pressley was not required to attend court on Thursday.
Bail continues in the sum of £500 with a condition not to contact witnesses.
