TT 2019: Hillier with Bournemouth team for 11th year on trot
TT star James Hillier will ride with Bournemouth Kawasaki racing team for an 11th successive year.
Winner of the 2013 Lightweight race, he will contest the Superbike, Superstock and Senior races on the all-new Kawasaki ZX-10RR, and the two Supersport events on a Kawasaki ZX-6R.
Having made his Mountain Course debut in 2008, the Hampshire rider is established as a regular contender for honours and now has an impressive haul of 12 podiums - the most recent of which came last year when he took third in the Superbike and Supersport race.
In addition, he finished fourth in the opening Supersport race - less than two seconds off the rostrum - and fifth in the Superstock. Only a first-lap retirement in the Senior, when the sump was ripped off the Kawasaki at the bottom of Barregarrow, prevented a complete run of finishes.
Hillier first stood on the podium in 2012 and has done so at least once every year since then, while his phenomenal finishing record since 2011 has seen him fail to finish only two of the 43 races he has started - all but two of those inside the top 10.
The soon-to-be 34-year-old has now racked up a remarkable 51 finishes from 55 starts since 2008, with a best lap of 132.414mph - seventh fastest rider of all time.
The team will be sponsored by Quattro Plant and Wicked Coatings.
