TT fans can expect a packed week of entertainment, including top comedy, music and extreme stunt shows, at the Grandstand this year.

Acts appearing at the TT VIP hospitality unit, this year, include the UK pop rock group The Feeling, comedian Chris Ramsey and a hotly-anticipated closing party headlined by the legendary DJ Carl Cox.

The Feeling will open the week-long entertainment programme on Saturday, June 1, from 8pm.

The hugely successful five-piece indie group are currently in the midst of their first tour in two years, held in support of the re-issue of their 2006 album ’Twelve Stops and Home’.

That album launched their careers, and provided them with a seemingly inexhaustible string of radio-friendly, hook-laden hits, including ’Sewn’, ’Never Be Lonely’, ’Rose’, ’I Love It When You Call’ and their biggest hit ’Fill My Little World’.

Tickets are priced at £40.

Top comedian Chris Ramsey is set to appear on Tuesday, June 4, again from 8pm.

Chris is a frequent face on the TV, thanks to his show ’Chris Ramsey’s Stand Up Central’ on E4, along with his appearances on the panel shows ’Virtually Famous’ and ’Celebrity Juice’.

He also hosts his own comedy vehicle, ’The Chris Ramsey Show’ on the Comedy Central channel and has appeared on the BBC2 sitcom ’Hepburn’.

In 2011 Chris was nominated for the Edinburgh Comedy Award for best show and has since sold out numerous UK tours, including his most recent ’The Just Happy to Get Out of The House’ Tour.

Tickets for Chris Ramsey are £35.70.

The week-long extravaganza will be brought to a raucous close on Friday, June 7, with a ’one-night residency’ by DJ Carl Cox.

The superstar DJ has a close connection to the TT, thanks to his ’Carl Cox Motorsport’ sidecar team, along with his backing of riders, including Michael Dunlop.

He is best known for his long-running residency at the Space club in Ibiza, which has just come to an end after 15 consecutive years.

He is still one of most in demand DJs on the planet, with club dates and festival appearances across the world.

The first release of tickets for his TT club night sold out within 48 hours of being announced, but organisers say that there will be a limited release of more tickets closer to the time.

The acts will be joined by the Monster Mayhem stunt show, featuring mountain biker Tom Reynolds and Matt Scott, BMX freestyle star Adam Kunn and trials stunt riders Fred Crossett and Samuele Zuccali, who will be performing in the Monster Energy compound every day of the TT race period.

Rob Callister MHK, the political member responsible for tourism and motorsport, said that the full line up of entertainment will give all race fans as much to enjoy other than the race action.

’We have organised a varied programme of official events, both ticketed and free, aimed not only at the visitors but also in the hope that as many residents as possible can enjoy the great off track entertainment at the TT which is such an important part of the festival fortnight,’ said Mr Callister.

Tickets for each of the shows, along with details of further appearances by the Monster Mayhem stunt show, along with celebrity TT riders and the popular Monster Girls, can be found online at iomttraces.com
