The island’s longest running brass band will hold its Christmas concert this weekend.
The Douglas Town Band are to perform its annual festive show at St Ninian’s Church this coming Sunday (December 15) from 3pm.
Featuring a range of brass favourites and classics, the town band will also welcome guest conductor and soloist Steve Sykes to join them for the afternoon.

Steve will also be hosting a free workshop, which is open to all tuba and brass musicians, on the morning of the concert at 10.30am in the band room, situated next to Douglas Golf Club.
Tickets for the concert are £10, with a family ticket £20 and £5 for concessions, available by phoning Ken Mitchell on 497320 or Paul Naylor on 324394.
