EasyJet is advising all passengers to turn up at least two hours before their flight from Ronaldsway - due to possible congestion in security control.
Work is continuing to revamp the central security area at the airport.
The £300,000 scheme is aimed a tackling the build-up of queues which have been a problem during peak times since the summer.
EasyJet today texted and emailed passengers to say: ’EasyJet has been advised that Isle of Man airport may experience queues and congestion at the security control points whilst these areas are improved and expanded.
’Therefore, we strongly recommend that all passengers with or without bags arrive at the airport at least two hours before the departure of their flight and go straight to departures in order to be at the gate on time.’
Airport bosses still don’t why the issue with queues suddenly arose in the summer as there had been no changes to schedules or security processing.
The changes in central security include a new entrance.
But it will be the end of this month before a second scanner can be staffed continuously.
