Peel lifeboat launched to assist in search.
Peel lifeboat was launched at around 1am this morning (Sunday) to help search for a small boat which went missing en route to southern Scotland.
The search is still continuing for the 16-foot boat which was launched from Port Logan and last heard from on Saturday early afternoon.
Ramsey lifeboat is also involved in the search along with a vessel from Port Patrick as well. The emergency services were alerted when the boat became overdue at its destination. Peel lifeboat paused to refuel at Port Patrick earlier this morning and the search, which also involves two helicopters, continued through the day. Peel lifeboat returned to Peel at around 5.30pm. No news has yet been made available about the outcome of the search
