But it isn’t now and it’s unlikely to this year.
Rob Callister MHK, speaking as part of his role promoting tourism in the Department for Enterprise, said maintenance work, costing about £476,000, would take a year or two to complete.
’I don’t think we will see Laxey Wheel turning in 2021,’ he said.
Garff MHK Martyn Perkins blamed a lack of maintenance for the wheel getting into a state of disrepair.
