An Onchan commissioner, who ran in the general election, has denied an allegation of harassment amounting to stalking.

Oliver John Lockwood, aged 45, of Main Road, Onchan, appeared before Deputy High Bailiff Rachael Braidwood on Tuesday (October 6).

The harassment allegation relates to a period between July and September this year.

He also pleaded not guilty to a section 3 public order offence of threatening behaviour, said to relate to a handwritten letter.

The allegations are said to relate to two women and two trials will be required in summary court.

He was represented in court by advocate James Peterson.

A pre-trial review will be held in summary court on December 1.

Bail continues, with conditions not to contact the complainants.
