Police in the south of the island are appealing for information after vandals damaged the historic Derby Fort at St Michael's Isle, Derbyhaven.

Officers reported that several pieces of masonry have been damaged, and a cannon has been removed from its stand within the fort at some point in the past month.

Anyone who may have information that will lead to identifying who has caused this damage is asked to contact Castletown police station on 822222 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
