Residents stepped out on Saturday to raise awareness of the global issue of human trafficking.

The walk was one of many A21 Walk For Freedom events that took place over the weekend around the world.

Those taking part wore bandanas over their mouths and walked in single file along the route, which started and ended at the Sea Terminal and took in Strand Street.

Among those taking part were University College Isle of Man students.

Student president George Pressley said: ’It was an mazing opportunity for students to raise awareness of slavery today and the A21 campaign to end it.

Mark Falconer took this photo of the line of walkers making their way along Castle Street. They are carrying posters with slogans including ’Slavery still exists’.
