The Empress Hotel is celebrating their involvement in Wallabies Gone Wild with an Aussie-themed Kylie Minogue tribute night.

As sculpture sponsors of ’Daishu’, the striking Chinese dragon-style wallaby which is situated outside the Courthouse in Ramsey, and the current home of ’Wendy the Wallababy’, designed by the children of Rebecca House, the Empress Hotel is a much valued supporter of the art trail and of Hospice Isle of Man.

On Saturday, August 31, the hotel is holding an evening of Australian-themed food and entertainment.

The night will feature Victoria Jones, one of the UK’s best Kylie Minogue tribute acts.

Victoria’s set is packed with hits from the ’princess of pop’, from late 80s chart toppers like ’I Should Be So Lucky’ and ’Hand on Your Heart,’ to her monster 2001 hit ’Can’t Get You Out Of My Head,’ and many more Kylie classics.

The three course menu also takes an Aussie-twist with a selection of barbeque-style main courses to choose from on the night.

And with a disco until late, it promises to be a fantastic evening of entertainment.

The bar will be open from 6.30pm, with dinner served at 7.30pm.

Tickets cost £39.50 and are available online from theempresshotel.net or by calling 661155.

A £5 donation will be made to Hospice Isle of Man for every ticket sold.

An overnight accommodation package is also available from £149 for two people, which not only includes the evening’s entertainment, but also a room and breakfast.

The Aussie-themed evening is also a way to mark the end of the Wallabies Gone Wild art trail which will be finishing on Sunday, September 1.

After that, the sculptures will be taken off the trail ahead of the Farewell Weekend at Ballannette, Baldrine on September 20, 21 and 22, and the auction at the Villa Marina on Thursday, September 26.

Manager of The Empress Hotel, David Mason said: ’We’re very proud to be involved with Hospice Isle of Man and the Wallabies Gone Wild event this summer, and we think our Aussie-themed evening is a perfect way to celebrate the huge success of the trail.’

Hospice Isle of Man would like to thank the Empress Hotel and all of our Wallabies Gone Wild sponsors for their generous support.
