The Met Office’s yellow weather warning for ice and frost continues today.
The forecast:
Remaining very cold today with a few bright or sunny intervals developing and just a small chance of one or two snow flurries.
It will continue to freeze hard on the hills due to sub-zero temperatures, with some patches of ice or black ice on the upland roads, and only between 2 and 3 Celsius at best at low levels with the fresh or strong northeast winds giving a significant chill factor.
Little change on Tuesday, still very cold with fresh to strong winds and the risk of a few light snow showers. Becoming less breezy for Wednesday but still very cold, with a frost at first and again later, then strengthening winds from the southeast on Thursday.
