The Department of Infrastructure has issued a Yellow weather warning for Saturday, February 21.

The warning is due to a large high tide combined with south-southwest winds expected between 12.45pm and 2pm. High tide is forecast for 1.46pm, with impacts possible for around an hour either side.

Sea spray and occasional waves are expected on exposed coastal roads during this period.

Areas most likely to be affected include Shore Road in Rushen, Castletown Promenade and potentially the northern end of Douglas Promenade.

Sandbags are available for collection from local amenity sites.
