The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for coastal overtopping.
The forecast from the Met Office:
Dry with sunny intervals this morning, but further rain will then develop around early afternoon, this then turning persistent for the rest of the day and heavy at times. Strong southwest winds with the maximum temperature 12 Celsius.
The rain will clear away tonight as the winds swing westerly and ease. Then tomorrow will see a mixture of bright intervals and showers, and these could become heavy and prolonged, as the west or southwest winds increase strong again.
Still windy on Tuesday, but becoming much quieter through the rest of the week.
