The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for hail, sleet or snow showers.

The forecast:

Sunny intervals but also a few sleet or hail showers this morning, with snow over the hills, the showers becoming isolated this afternoon. Strong mainly westerly winds, with temperatures of 4 or 5 Celsius.

Frosty at first on Friday, then sunny intervals and scattered wintry showers, the showers becoming more frequent later in the day. Moderate west or northwest wind and remaining cold with a highest temperature of 5 Celsius.

Staying cold on Saturday, still with wintry showers.
