The weather forecast from the Met Office:

Generally cloudy with hill fog and further outbreaks of mostly light rain and drizzle, which should become patchier by this afternoon to allow dry spells. Temperatures 7 or 8 Celsius, with the moderate to fresh southwest wind gradually becoming lighter.

Rain for a time overnight, with some snow on the hills as a freshening southwest wind becomes a strong westerly later. Temperatures falling to about 2°C, but sub-zero on the hills with ice on the upland roads.

Mostly dry and bright on Friday with sunny spells and only isolated wintry showers coming across on a strong west-northwest wind. Temperatures only 5 or 6°C at best.

Very wet and windy on Saturday morning, then becoming less breezy and drier during the afternoon. Temperatures up to 9°C.
