For the first time in many days, the Met Office has not issued a weather warning as the temperature has risen.

The forecast:

A few brighter intervals today but mostly cloudy with a freshening westerly wind and a few outbreaks of rain or drizzle developing later on this evening and tonight, temperatures 8 or 9 Celsius.

A windy day tomorrow with rain at times and a strong southwesterly turning to the west or northwest later in the day, temperatures up to 9 Celsius.

It will turn colder again on Tuesday but it’s dry and bright for the best part of the day with light winds, rain will return Tuesday night which will fall as sleet or snow over the higher ground at first before it turns milder again Wednesday morning.
