A cloudy start with outbreaks of rain but becoming brighter by mid morning with sunny intervals developing as the fresh southwest wind veers westerly, still with a few scattered showers coming across especially as the wind strengthens this afternoon.

Temperatures starting at 9 Celsius but gradually falling by a few degrees as the day goes on. The showers will turn wintry over high ground later today and tonight.

Tuesday will be cold with a strong to gale force westerly wind, bringing wintry showers and temperatures only 4 Celsius at best.

Windy and rather cold on Wednesday with further showers and sunny intervals, then getting heavy rain at night with severe gales.
