The weather forecast from the Met Office:
Heavy and potentially thundery showers will continue to affect the island at first this morning, giving some heavy downpours and the risk of some localised surface water flooding. The showers will clear towards mid-morning, leaving the rest of the day dry with lengthy sunny spells developing. The moderate to fresh northeast wind will be locally strong around the north of the island, but still feeling very warm or hot in spots sheltered from the breeze, with highs of 25 or perhaps even 26°C.
Dry this evening & tonight with some clear spells, but remaining hot and humid, with temperatures falling no lower than 15°C.
Tomorrow will be dry and bright with plenty of sunshine, as the moderate to fresh northeast wind falls light. Another very warm day with highest temperature around 22°C. Turning cloudy overnight with the threat of one or two passing showers.
Fine and dry on Saturday with some hazy sunshine and a light east to north-easterly wind. Top temperature around 21°C.
