The Met Office at Ronaldsway has issued a yellow weather warning for severe gales tonight.

Gale force southwest winds will increase to severe gale force at times this evening and into the early hours of tomorrow morning (Friday).

Gusts of 50-60mph, isolated 65mph, can be expected with the risk of some damage or disruption.

The warning is in place between 6pm and 2am.

This evening's Steam Packet sailings have been cancelled as a result of the adverse weather forecast.
