The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for frost and ice.

The forecast:

A clear but cold start this morning with a slight frost in places and the risk of icy patches, but a fine day with a good deal of sunshine and temperatures rising to 9 Celsius. The light to moderate west or northwest breezes swinging southwest, then becoming a fresher south to southeast wind later today with increasing cloud.

Friday will be mostly cloudy with rain moving in from the west around lunchtime, clearing later in the afternoon to leave a dry evening and night. Highest temperature around 10 Celsius but with a strong southeast wind until later.

Mostly cloudy on Saturday with a little rain developing at times, but lighter winds and temperatures up to about 11°C at best.
