Persistent rain, turning heavier at times this morning accompanied by fresh to strong east or southeast winds which will become strong to near gale force during the morning.
The rain will then die out early in the afternoon, as the winds swing southerly and ease. Most places will remain cloudy and rather dull, but brighter skies are likely to develop over the north and parts of the west coast. Maximum temperature 13 Celsius.
Sunny intervals and scattered showers on Sunday, but breezy as the southerly winds become fresh to strong. Top temperatures up to 12°C.
