The Met Office’s yellow weather warning for ice and wintry showers continues.

The forecast:

A risk of a few wintry showers at first today, with icy patches possible on roads and pavements.

However, the showers will become isolated shortly after dawn, allowing good sunny spells to develop. Maximum temperature a cold 6 Celsius, with mainly moderate northwest veering northerly winds.

Tonight will then be largely dry with only a small risk of a wintry shower, as the northerly winds increase to become fresh. Temperatures tonight will hold up a little in the breeze, mostly staying around 3 or 4 Celsius.

Dry and sunny tomorrow, but cold, then little change over the weekend.
