The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for coastal overtopping.
The forecast:
Occasional rain this morning and a strong to gale south or southwest wind, the rain will clear toward the middle of the day and the wind will ease for a time but scattered showers and southwesterly gales will develop later in the afternoon, the wind turning to the northwest tonight and increasing severe gale for a time. Temperatures 13 Celsius at first but turning colder during the day
Strong northwest winds and scattered showers at first tomorrow, the wind will gradually fall light during the day, temperatures just 8 or 9 Celsius
