The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for frost and ice.
The forecast:
A widespread slight frost at first today and possibly some icy patches, but it will be a quiet day with sunny spells and only very isolated showers. Maximum temperature 7 or 8 Celsius, with light winds.
This evening and tonight another frost is likely, with temperatures falling back close to zero again. Then tomorrow will be largely dry with sunshine and just a small chance of a shower.
Outbreaks of rain on Tuesday, with strong northerly winds.
