The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for heavy rain and thunderstorms.
The forecast:
Cloudy and dry start to the day with the risk of a few showers late morning. Showers are likely to become heavy and possibly thundery into the afternoon and evening. High rainfall accumulations may lead to localised surface water flooding. Light to moderate mainly northerly wind that may be gusty in/near showers. Maximum temperature a humid 21°C.
Showers fading overnight and then tomorrow looks to be mainly dry with variable amounts of cloud. Small risk of the odd heavy shower. Light to moderate winds and top temperature 22°C.
Remaining warm and humid on Wednesday and Thursday with some sunny spells at times. Ongoing risk of isolated heavy showers. Becoming fresher on Friday.
