From biodegradable pencils to stress-relieving slime, Junior Achievement finalists have been showcasing a wide range of products.
The finalists promoted their businesses at an open day held at the Palace Hotel, Douglas.
St Ninian’s High School student company Suave Equanimity has developed a pencil containing seeds of the mint plant, so it can be planted and grown at the end of the pencil’s working life.
Ramsey Grammar School students behind Cerulan have developed ’Peas in a Pod’, a subscription service for customers to grow healthy produce, while Solar Sorcery is selling bike cleaning products.
Phoenix Fun Store, from St Ninian’s, is selling toys and games while Zeta, also St Ninian’s, has produced from stress-relieving ’Satiz Slime’.
Queen Elizabeth II High School students behind DEKKS are selling a solar-powered charging case for mobile phones.
Gravity, from Ballakermeen has sourced a bamboo toothbrush, the Bambrush.
And Calor, also Ballakermeen, is selling ’The Spikestop’, a bottle-topper that prevents drink spiking.
