Storm Bram: Met Office issue fresh weather alert for storm-force windsA windy but fair start to New Year’s Day with some brightness and sunshine developing this morning. The afternoon, however, will be cloudier with some showers for a time, gradually clearing later this evening. Fresh to strong west or southwest winds may be near gale force for a time, then turning west or north-westerly during the afternoon; highs of 8 or 9 Celsius.
Tonight will remain dry with some clear skies, but clouding over later in the night, fresh to strong westerly winds easing southwest later. Minimum temperatures of 3 Celsius.
Spells of rain, heavy at times during the morning and then again during the evening on Tuesday, with a dry and bright spell for the afternoon. Moderate to fresh south-westerly winds soon becoming strong, with highest temperatures around 9 Celsius.
Wednesday will be windy with some outbreaks of rain soon clearing to showers for the afternoon. Strong to near gale force westerly winds, and highs of 9 Celsius again.
