Members of the island’s Women’s Institute (WI) showed off their skills at the recent Royal Show.
A number of teams received prizes for their handcrafted, decorated or baked goods that were on display in the WI tent at Knockaloe showground.
The different exhibits included handmade cards, a ’gift for a friend’, gingerbread decorating and quilted items.
Aileen Rampton, from the Parkfield WI,which meets at St Andrew’s URC, in Douglas, said: ’The Royal Manx Agricultural Show was a lovely weekend and we were especially lucky with the weather with sunshine until packing up time.’
Chairman of the WI, Pat Nutter, presented prizes to all winners.
Peel Belles WI received the Cottier Cup for most entries and the public choice award went to Cornaa WI for their floor display called ’Guide Camp’.
