The Joint Ex-Services Association will mark Armistice Day at the War Memorial on Douglas promenade on Wednesday morning.

A parade will form up under the Villa Marina Colonnade and cross the road led by a lone piper.

Standard bearers, serving and ex- service personnel, along with members of the public are asked to form up no later than 10.40am for movement to the War Memorial.

His Excellency, the Lieutenant Governor Sir Richard Gozney, and Douglas Mayor Jon Joughin will attend prior to the two-minute silence at 11am. Archdeacon of Man, the Venerable Andrew Brown, will provide a short service prior to the silence.

Everyone is invited to attend and lay wreaths or to pay their respects.

Refreshments can be found at St Thomas’s Church after the ceremony of remembrance.
