The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for ice.

The weather forecast:

Cold start with the risk of some patchy ice on higher ground on untreated surfaces. Otherwise dry with some sunshine developing. Isolated showers this afternoon that may become more occasional overnight into tomorrow. Moderate to fresh west or southwest wind, strengthening later this evening and overnight. Maximum temperature 6°C.

Into tomorrow, cloudy with a few showers during the morning, tending to become drier and brighter in the afternoon. Fresh to strong west or northwest wind, decreasing later. Top temperature 7°C.

On Wednesday it looks to be a cold start to the day with a local frost. Otherwise fine and mainly dry with some sunny spells. Light to moderate south or southwest wind and a highest temperature around 7°C once again.
