The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning frost and ice.

The forecast:

A fine but frosty start to the day, cloud will begin to increase from the west this morning, thickening during the day as the south to southwest wind strengthens, rain will arrive towards the end of the afternoon, a wet evening with gales for a time before the rain clears and the wind turns to the west mid-evening. Temperatures up to 7 Celsius

A cold day tomorrow with a fresh to strong west or northwest wind, sunny spells and isolated wintry showers, cold again on Wednesday and still with a few wintry showers but less windy
