The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for frost and ice.

The forecast:

Some brightness is possible at first this morning, before the cloud thickens and lowers bringing rain and drizzle later this morning & into the afternoon. Windy with a strong westerly wind which will turn to the southwest this morning, with a top temperature of 9°C.

Generally dry but rather cloudy this evening and much of tonight, before rain and drizzle spreads from the west late in the night. Minimum temperature no lower than 6°C.

Tomorrow will start misty with extensive low cloud and outbreaks of rain and drizzle, which will clear into the afternoon leaving a dry end to the day. Still quite windy with a strong south to southwest wind, which will turn to the west or southwest as the rain clears with highs of 10°C. A further spell of rain will then move in later in the night.

Heavy rain at first on Friday, will clear towards midday leaving the afternoon mainly dry with some brightness breaking through. Milder than of late with temperatures reaching up to 10 or possibly 11°C at best in the strong southwest wind.
