The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning.
Forecasters say there will be frost and icy patches.
Today’s forecast:
A cold day but dry and bright with some sunshine at times and a light mainly east or northeasterly breeze, temperatures will only get to around 5 Celsius at best during the day.
There will be a widespread frost tonight then a dry and bright day again tomorrow with light winds but still cold with temperatures peeking at just 4 Celsius, a band of sleet or snow will move in overnight.
The wind will turn to a stronger northwesterly first thing Tuesday, a cold day again with sleet or snow at first turning to scattered wintry showers, temperatures only 4 Celsius and feeling much colder in the strong wind
