The Isle of Man Young Farmers Concert is proving as popular as ever this year.
After a two year absence, tickets for the much-loved extravaganza went on sale at 8am on Saturday morning at the Welcome Centre in the Sea Terminal and were nearly all snapped up by those in the waiting queue.
Those first ones had been there since 10.30pm the night before and many others had also been queuing all night.
Isle of Man Young Farmers officials arrived well before dawn to offer refreshments before the coffee shop opened, and staff from Conister Bank, the sponsors of the concert, were also there to offer support.
Isle of Man Young Farmers secretary, Bryony Kneale, said: ’It was totally full when we got there at 4.30am to dish out tea, coffee and toast.
’People were there with pyjamas, sleeping bags, folding chairs.
’It was absolutely mental but we’re so grateful for the continued support and to Conister Bank for all their help.’
The Young Farmers Concert is on for three nights, from Thursday, March 24 to Saturday, March 26, with 700 tickets up for sale for each show and as the Examiner went to press there was only a handful left, mostly for the Thursday night.
