Keen darts players from the Isle of Man are being given the chance to play against two of the biggest names in the sport.

Sixteen-times World Darts champion Phil ’The Power’ Taylor and five-times Champion of the World Raymond van Barneveld will be appearing at The Villa Marina, Douglas, later in the year.

Four regional open knockout competitions in the island have been organised and the winner of each event will have the privilege of playing either ’The Power’ or ’Barney’ on the Villa Marina stage in front of a packed audience.

The first of the regional events has been organised for Friday, April 20, at Bar Logo in Ramsey with the remaining competitions being held on Friday, June 29, at Peel Legion, Friday, July 20, in the Rosemount, Douglas, and Friday, August 24, at The Falcon’s Nest, Port Erin.

The cost of entry to all qualifier competitions is a ’one off’ £10 fee with each event starting at 7.30pm. It is open to all dart players in the island.

Tickets for the main event in The Villa Marina, Douglas, on October 11, which also includes Wayne ’Hawaii 501’ Mardle, are now on sale.
