Manx Harriers’ summer 10- kilometre walk takes place this evening, Thursday, on the perimeter roadway of the National Sports Centre.

This walk is a sealed handicap (start together and handicap added at the finish). Signing on will be at Manx Harriers clubhouse from 6.30 for a 7pm start.

There will be support walks for juniors at varying distances. Prizes are for first three on handicap (10km only) and will be presented after racing.

The entry fee is £4 for club members and £6 for unattached walkers. Junior entries are £1.

Parking will be at the car park behind the clubhouse (the NSC roadway will be closed).

l Isle of Man Veterans Athletes’ Club’s annual mile, which was scheduled to take place yesterday evening, Wednesday, at the NSC has been postponed until September 5.

It is free to club members and £3 to non-members aged 35 and over. The race is four laps round the synthetic athletics track. Register on the day from 6.30pm.
