Isle of Man Veteran Athletes’ Club’s season gets under way with the Acclaim Ltd 20-mile road run this Sunday, over the National Sports Centre perimEter roadway.

The event, which provides the perfect warm-up for anyone participating in a spring marathon, will begin at 9am with registration in the Manx Harriers clubhouse closing at 8.45.

Entries close at midnight on Friday. Fees are £8 for UKA affiliated competitors and £12 for non-affiliated athletes. Entries on the day will cost an additional £3, subject to race limit.

This will be followed by the Spring Handicap 10km and 5km walks on Thursday, March 19 at the same venue.

These will commence at 6.30pm with the 10km event, followed at 7.20 by the 5km.
