Anna Christian won the 2017 British National Road Championships women’s under-23 time trial on home soil on Thursday afternoon.
The Drops Cycling star posted the seventh fastest time overall in the 22.2-kilometre route which started and finished in St John’s.
Buoyed by the local support, the 21-year-old completed the distance in a time of 34 minutes 33.77 seconds to claim the u23 honours ahead of Melissa Lowther and Alice Barnes.
Claire Rose won the senior title.
The win was Christian’s second national title success, having won the British Road Race Championship junior women’s jersey in 2013.
