Manx Netball Associaton’s annual pre-season tournament takes place on Sunday morning at the NSC.
This year the competition has a slightly different feel to it than usual.
Rather than sticking with the regular seven-a-side format, the teams will be playing ’Fast 5s’, a variation of netball that sees shortened games and multiple points on offer for goals scored.
Each side only has five players on court (GK, GD, C, GA and GS) with rolling substitutions, which means changes can be made at any stage of the game.
Three different goal-scoring zones are also included along with a ’Power Play’ period when all points scored are doubled - all make for exciting matches.
The Manx teams will be joined by teams from Panthers Netball Club who are visiting from Milton Keynes.
With more than 10 sides competing, there will be plenty of opportunity to watch the teams play from 9am to 1pm in the main and secondary nall. Spectators very welcome.
The league season starts the following Sunday, September 23.
