With Vikings A’s inability to finish in the opening games of the Mixed Premier League season and Bacchas A seemingly scoring at will, Vikings are going to have to improve.

This weekend sees a great opportunity to bolster their goalscoring against a struggling Castletown Celts side three points adrift of safety after three matches.

Bacchas A will be looking to score several goals against a Vikings B side aiming to do their first team a few favours. The latter have proven they can compete at this level, but Bacchas A should prove too strong on the day.

One of the closer games of the day should be the fixture between Ramsey A versus Valkyrs A, but with the northerners struggling with personnel this week it could be a chance for a young Valkyrs side to continue their surprise form.

Division One sees Saracens Sabres take on bottom-of-the-table Ramsey Ravens. After Saracens beat Harlequins 17-0 last week, few are betting against another big score here. Bacchas B take on a Harlequins side still reeling from that huge defeat last time out but they have a great chance to bounce straight back.

In reality, Bacchas’ strength in depth should see them come out winners and consign Harlequins to a third defeat on the trot and the whites will be looking to increase their goal tally for the season.

The final game is a mid-table battle between Valkyrs B and Bacchas C, with the westerners looking the favourites.

Saracens Colts will be aiming to continue their impressive form in Division Two when they take on Valkyrs C. Saracens are sitting pretty at the top of the table three points ahead of the rest and are currently looking like the best of the colts sides so far.

Next up sees Vikings C travel to Castle Rushen to take on Cammags as they aim to close the gap to Saracens. With this league looking so tight with only two points separating second place and bottom, Cammags could see themselves climb the table should they earn a victory here.

A battle of the colts commences when Bacchas take on Harlequins, with Quins looking to climb off the bottom of the table.

Mixed Division Two sees Saracens Sharks attempt to take on the impressive Vikings D, with the latter looking like the huge favourites to take away both points on offer.

Vikings Colts will be looking to keep pace with their D team when they take on northern side Ramsey Rookies.

Southerners are also looking to keep up at the top of the table when they take on Valkyrs D. This will be a hard game with Valkyrs playing some impressive hockey and have designs of their own on the league title.

Elsewhere, Harlequins B take on Bacchas D in what will be one of the best yet most friendly games of the day.
