The 2019-20 netball season begins this Sunday morning, September 8 with action in all four senior leagues.

A total of 32 teams will compete across the four divisions, with reigning top-flight champions SMP Ballasalla A looking to repeat their success of the previous season.

Last campaign’s runners-up Simcocks Red Eagles will be out for revenge though and another exciting battle between these two is expected at the top of the Premier Division standings.

With Simcocks Gold Eagles being promoted from Division One, there are now three Simcocks teams in the top flight, and the Golds will be looking to prove themselves in this higher division.

In Division One, Route 1 Turbos will be hoping to go one better than last year although Thompson II and Long and Humphrey Toomraiders will be eager to claim top spot too.

Newly-promoted SMP Ballasalla C will also be looking to show they are in the division to stay.

In Division Two, it looks likely that the Spaniards will battle Castletown Navy and Simcocks Green Eagles for top spot as they aim for a swift return to Division One.

New into this league are Manx Gems Sapphires and they will definitely want to prove that they can win this league too.

Division Three is often the starting point for younger netballers to begin their senior career once they turn 14 and often throws up players to watch for the future.

Simcocks Silver Eagles and Route 1 Volts look set to jostle it out once again for that coveted promotion spot.
