The annual festive cycle ride to the Baltic Hotel in Foxdale will take place next Wednesday, December 18.

The social ride has been better-supported by mountain bike riders in recent years, but a number of roadies still make the effort.

Those travelling from the eastern side of the island can congregate at the Railway Inn, Union Mills between 6pm and 7pm before heading up into the hills to arrive at Foxdale shortly after 8.

The carol service normally gets underway around 10, when Andy McKeown has his larynx suitably lubricated!

Groups from the north, west and south also converge in the former mining village for a sing-song.
