Round four of the kart racing association’s Isle of Man Martial Arts Academy Championship was held in sunny conditions at Jurby on Sunday.
The Honda Cadet Extreme class saw some great racing, but it was Issac Batty who scored a cleansweep of wins throughout the heats and final, as well as setting the fastest lap of 53.59 seconds.
Harry Fox and young Shane Collins had a good battle throughout the day, but it was Fox who claimed second and Collins third.
Well done to Linken Bevan, Fenella Lane, Josh Harrison and Finn Collister who all clocked personal best lap times.
Callum Barnett claimed all three heats and the final in the Senior Libre class, setting the fastest lap of 46.38s.
Barnett was followed by Adam Godby and Steve Gregg.
Honda Senior Extreme class showed some exciting racing, with Barnett securing the first heat and Andrew Johnson the remaining two.
The final saw some close racing between strong contenders Antony Bentley-Roberts, Johnson, Barnett and Dan Bougourd.
Bentley-Roberts started in pole and managed to keep this position until lap three when Johnson took the lead.
Bentley-Roberts and Barnett were not making it easy for their rival, but he eventually broke the toe by lap 10 and went onto take the chequered flag 2.13s in front of Bentley-Roberts and Barnett.
Thanks go to the clerk of the course Roger Moore, the marshals, medic, timekeeper Sarah Moore, Carol Hutchinson Photography and Johno’s for serving food and drinks throughout the day.
The next meeting is Sunday, June 10 with racing from 11am - spectators most welcome
