Matthew Bostock has been included in Great Britain’s team which will tackle the UCI Track Cycling World Championships in Hong Kong next month.

The Glen Vine teenager is amongst a group of 20 riders which will represent GB in the prestigious event in Asia which takes place between April 12-16.

Bocky forms part of the seven-man endurance team which also includes Steven Burke, Kian Emadi, Chris Latham, Mark Stewart, Andy Tennant and Oliver Wood.

The 19-year-old has enjoyed a fine track season for Britain with success in the Berlin and Ghent Six-Day events, as well as winning silver at the British Track Championships in Manchester.

Head coach Iain Dyer is full of praise for the squad, commenting: ’The team is made up of a good mix of experienced and developing riders across all the disciplines.

’Throughout the earlier world cups and at the UEC European Track Championships last year, there was a good opportunity to bring some new riders into the front line.

’They gave a really good account of themselves and that’s reflected in the selections we’ve made today.

’I’m looking forward to seeing them step up into world championship level competition.’
